Hi, Jeff. I think you're a great joker with serious matters. Keep up the good work.

But I see here what I consider a fundamental difference between the USiAn way and the non-USiAn: The attitude towards violence and sex.

In my environment it is unthinkable to meet the desire of love related sex - straight or kinky - between consenting participants with threats of violence. If I had been met with these ten rules, I would have called the police and complained about death threats. I suppose quite a few others would have done samewise.

The threat of "lethal viral diseases" as mammon_ mentioned in a previous thread may be higher in the US. If so, it could be sufficient to remind your daughter about it. I for one would not put my life in the hands of 70 micrometers thickness of latex rubber. The pregnancy risk is another matter, quite comfortably solvable by being on the Pill.

Some of your rules related to bad manners. If you've given your daughters good manners and a will of her own, I's sure she is not very tolerant of the less polite boys.

I have no tolerance for jokes involving murder or violence, no matter how funny they are.

Scrap this kind of humour. There are lots of serious topics that do not need to involve murder threats.
